| Workmen install solar panels on snow Published on Monday 13 February 2012 18:33 IT IS often said that Britain grinds to a halt whenever we have a few flakes of snow – but that was certainly not the case for these workmen. The new panels have been fitted in a bid to generate low-carbon electricity for the centre and cut down on power bills for the Boston Borough Council-owned facility. It is part of a package of energy-saving improvements at the leisure centre, which has also seen new energy-efficient lighting, pool covers and double-glazing. |
