ABP simply the very best in UK
A GARAGE which has won numerous awards has scooped the biggest prize in the industry - after being named the best and most trustworthy small garage in the United Kingdom. "And we work to the exact same level of care and skill if it's a Mitsubishi Evo or a Nissan Micra. "The performance end of the market is cut-throat competitive and prone to downturn in a recession, whereas the routine work is always there. The two winners were picked from 20 regional champions by a judging panel of industry experts. Thousands of garages took part and ABP earlier won its category in the North West regional heat. Now just it and one other, Reynolds of North Yorkshire which was voted the very best large garage, have been crowned in the national final. He says: "As ABP Motorsport we were recognised for our performance tuning and about 75 per cent of our work came from that and 25 per cent from servicing standard cars. "The fact that real customer feedback got us in front of the judges makes the achievement all of the more rewarding. He says: "The fact that we are winning awards and getting national recognition for our standards gives everyone confidence that we will look after their car without ripping them off. Chris Meredith, aged 38, of Willaston and managing director of ABP, says: "We treat all of our customers as a mystery shopper, making sure that everyone who comes through the door experiences the type of service that we'd expect to receive ourselves. ABP, which does around 7,000 services a year and about 2,000 MoT tests, was the Motor Codes Regional Winner in 2010, 2011 and this year, and has won Car and Accessory Trader magazine's garage of the year award for the unprecedented third successive year. ABP was set up in 1964 and Chris and fellow director John Parton ran it very successfully. But when John retired in July 2009, Chris started to take the business in a slightly different direction. ''. "We have an excellent team here, the best in the business. |
