North West lit up by Kier through Solar Panel Scheme

Approximately than 80 Great Places Housing Group-owned properties across the north-west will benefit by saving around three quarters on their annual energy bills and over a tonne of carbon dioxide every year following the installing of panels because of a contract between Kier"s maintenance business and Great Places Housing Group. We"re delighted that we're able to pass on significant energy savings to the Great Places Housing Group residents involved while achieving an excellent customer satisfaction rating. 5m, has seen Kier install the panels to 83 social housing properties across Blackpool, Blackburn, Oldham and Manchester. Kier completed the project, from initial build survey stage to installation, in only six weeks, ensuring minimum disruption for all. Residents were consulted before the work started to be sure their needs were considered and that the project was suitable. 4% for Kier. The solar panels have been introduced as a way of reducing energy bills, helping residents to manage rising energy costs while making a contribution to renewable energy generation. Kier regional managing director, David Mawson, said: "Customer satisfaction is at the heart of every repairs and general maintenance project we undertake. " Great Places Housing Group chief executive, Stephen Porter, said: "The installation of solar panels across our portfolio of homes has been a huge success and we"re very satisfied with the results being experienced by our residents. These consisted of roof inspections to check the structural integrity, asbestos checks, and determining the orientation and panel array size. Upon completion of the installations, the residents involved were asked to submit customer satisfaction surveys, which resulted in an overall positive score of 98. Kier completed the work professionally and efficiently.
