Families get say on new Coventry house building targets

COVENTRY people's views are increasingly being sought on how many new homes need to be built following pressure from developers eyeing up the green belt. It comes after the coalition * * That 20,600 new homes could be necessary based on Office for National Statistics projections for population growth made in 2008. They were based on growth and international migration in the five years before the 2008 economic downturn. * That 11,300 homes would be required based on forecasts for city jobs and growth. * That just 9,690 new homes would be required if house-building in Coventry over the next 15 years continues the trends of the last 20 years.
