LAFARGE PLASTERBOARD CAMPAIGN URGES BUILDERS TO 'THINK THERMAL'

Leading plasterboard manufacturer, Lafarge Plasterboard, has launched its Think Thermal campaign to help builders understand thermal boards and make use of commercial opportunities. " As part of the campaign Lafarge Plasterboard will be developing Think Thermal tool kits, which will contain essential information for users, such as a guide to Part L and thermal board solutions that includes a thermal board product selector that could help builders choose the right board. This means more clients will be looking for energy efficient solutions and builders will need to be able to help. Lafarge Plasterboard will also provide a dedicated technical enquiry line for instant advice. "At the moment there is a great deal of confusion about which boards should be used and where. Sioned Webb, trade marketing and communications manager at Lafarge Plasterboard, explains: "Think Thermal is about helping builders navigate the frequently confusing thermal board market. Sioned concludes: "Lafarge Plasterboard is committed to helping our clients provide a good service. Both end-users along with their suppliers need clear guidance and Think Thermal will deliver this. For example, some refurbishments only Need a minor increase in thermal efficiency to enhance the warmth and comfort of a room, while others need products that meet the more challenging performance criteria set out in Part L. Rising energy prices, as well as the financial incentives from the Green Deal, mean clients will seek out materials that they possibly haven't bought before. Builders need to 'think thermal' to take advantage. Think Thermal, launched in February, aims to offer clarity in the often complicated thermal board market, helping to explain what products are available, how to use them, and where and when they ought to be used. This campaign can really help builders to better understand the thermal boards market and deliver a better service to their customers.
